Summer Saviours

This month I’m sharing my top five summer saviours that are going to keep you looking summertastic.

Number one – MagiX Cashmere Foundation
This foundation is a definite summer winner, not only does it contain SPF10 to keep those nasty UVA rays at bay but its lightweight formulation means it won’t clog your pores under the heat.

Number two – Mega Impact Eye Liner
Mega Impact Eye Liner is a super soft gel eyeliner that can be worn on the waterline or lash line. It’s a true summer essential as it just doesn’t shift! If you’re feeling daring try it in Cobalt!

Number three – ANEW Solar Advance Eye and Lip Sunscreen

This amazing product protects your eyes and lips from the sun whilst reducing the appearance of wrinkles, genius! It contains a nourishing eye cream to soften those dread crow’s feet as well as a glossy lip tint to keep you beach beautiful.

Number four – SuperShock Mascara
I LOVE this mascara! It gives your peeper’s bold volume that lasts, plus you can get a waterproof version for your holidays by the pool.

Number five – Colour and Contour Blush Duo
This stylish compact contains two shades that can be worn alone or together to create the ultimate cheekbone. It’s also super shimmery and is the perfect compliment to your summer tan.

Enjoy!

Celebrity makeup artist, Jackie Tyson gives the lowdown on how to get the festival look this season.

Jackie Tyson, celebrity makeup artist

A couple of days camping at a festival is a challenge for anyone’s hair and make-up! This month I’ve teamed up with celebrity hairdresser to the stars, Andrew Barton to bring you the ultimate festival look.

The one product I wouldn’t be without during festival season is MagiX Face Perfector. This super lightweight primer keeps shine at bay while its SPF20 keeps you protected. If you want a touch of colour to conceal then try MagiX Cashmere Foundation with SPF10.

For festival eyes you’ll see in the video I’ve used a black gel eyeliner to create bold definition and used a bit of colour to brighten the look.

I finished this off with a bold pink lip, which is perfect for the block colour trends that are so ‘in’ this summer.

I hope you enjoy the video … I know Andrew and I certainly enjoyed filming it for you.

It’s all about the tan

Jackie Tyson, celebrity makeup artistThis season is all about the tan. If you’re not lucky enough to be getting off to warmer climates and are a little nervous of fake tan don’t worry, I’ve got some great little tricks that will give you a summer glow without the air miles or streaks!

Using bronzer in the correct areas will not only give you a glow but it will define and highlight your best features!

For a natural glow on paler skin I opt for Avon’s True Colour Blush in Earthern Rose. Sweep this under your cheek bones for definition and follow with a dusting of  Arabian Glow Bronzing Pearls  on the apples of your cheeks and over your chest and collarbone.

For a look to rival the catwalks, bronze it to the max with an ultra heavy contour under the cheeks. Start by applying Arabian Glow pressed powder with a large brush under the cheek bones and sweeping up right onto the temples, build this up to a deep brown and add shimmer with the Arabian Glow Bronzing Pearls. Finish this look with Extra Lasting Lip Gloss in Continuous Copper.

If the catwalk look is a little too much for you why not try a little splash of bronze just on your eyes.  Big Colour Eye Pencil  in Burnished Copper and Golden Glamour is great for this. Simply use the lighter shade in the inner corner of the eye and the brow area to highlight and the darker shade on the lid. You can smudge these using your brush or a finger until you get the desired effect. Finish with lashings of black mascara.

Happy bronzing!
