Get on trend for Autumn/Winter 2010: Eyes and Lips

Autumn is nearly upon us, and with only a couple of weeks to go, now is the right time to pin down exactly what trends are right for you. If you have a Representative now would be the perfect time to get in touch. They have their fingers on the pulse of all things beauty related and will be happy to advise you on the very latest beauty trends and offers.

Despite the horrible weather, fear not, as the trends for autumn are something to smile about at least, and I'll give you a quick rundown on the top shades for the lips and eyes, both of which have been all over the catwalk recently.

With the lips, these are the main feature for the season and it's all about colour. The beauty press has been awash with matte red, with the likes of Chanel leading the way in the style stakes, and this isn't going anywhere.

If you're a fan of the edgy look, then the newly-added shades are for you – raspberry or blackberry lips, check out Avon's Ultra Colour Rich Mega Impact Lipstick and Avon's Pro Colour and Gloss Lip Duo, his is such a clever little lippy and offers 3 looks in 1, a creamy lipstick with a high gloss core. Oh and definitely take a peek at Scarlett Johansson's recent D&G advertisement.

I asked celebrity makeup artist, Jackie Tyson what her top lip tips were for this Autumn/Winter!

Jackie Tyson, celebrity makeup artist1.    The change in weather can play havoc with your lips so regularly apply lip balm to keep them supple.
2.    Rough skin on your lips can be buffed off with some lip balm on a soft baby toothbrush.
3.    A/W make up is all about the lips. They should be bright and the main focus with a soft smokey eye.
4.    Try Avon Pro Colour & Gloss Lip Duo in Berry Luscious, Poppy Love or Passion Plum to be bang on trend.
5.    Go from day to night with Pro Colour & Gloss Lip Duo by using the lipstick during the day and load on the gloss as you head out in the evening.

Thanks again Jackie!

I must say, I breathed a sigh of relief when I heard that the smoky eye is also staying put, so for those of us who have just managed to master this timeless look, this is the season to show what we can do.

Brown is the new black, and it's all about creating sultry and sexy eyes – and for this you'll need Avon Colour In A Blink Eye Shadow and Liner which is an absolute godsend, just team with black liquid liner, lashings of mascara and blend as you see fit.

Or if you're enjoying the abundance of colour that autumn brings – it's time to get excited and go all out with tawny reds, olive greens and mellow yellows.

Check out Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Duo in Fresh Jade to get your peepers to that show-stopping standard.

What shades will you choose this season?

I never suit the pink berry colours so I was feeling a little left out until I saw you mention 'tawny red'. That'll do me.
